Our client, a top tier firm located in Dublin 2 is on the lookout for a Legal Executive in Commercial Property. The role is in an established firm with an excellent benefits package and annual salary reviews. Call Emma Skelton on 01 845 6302 if you have any questions.

Salary: €50k

The Role

The key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Taking instructions from solicitors.
  • Opening and closing files
  • Liaise with clients as required
  • Ensure all time is recorded– both chargeable & non chargeable
  • General handling of files post completion.
  • Releasing title documents and scheduling title documents.
  • Provide support for all administration tasks as required, including photocopying, filing of documents.
  • Risk Management – comply with all of the Firm’s policies & procedures; attend risk briefings & support Firm-wide risk management initiatives. Adhere to the file review and closure process and ensure all open and in-active matters are reviewed and closed as appropriate.
  • Information Security – Support implementation of the Firms Information Security Management and comply with the Firms Information Security Statement
  • Adhere to data classifications and handling rules

Experience

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 3 years conveyancing/property experience ideally within a banking environment, or with an exposure to the banking elements of property transactions.
  • Minimum education: Diploma in Legal Studies
  • Experience in acting for banks (either in-house or externally), ideally with an emphasis on handling Certificates of Title cases.
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to use Excel
  • An ability to understand and appreciate banking practices.
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Very good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of motivation and an ability to act on one’s own initiative.
