Link Personnel is hiring a Legal Document Production Lead for a Top Tier Law Firm for a senior operational and technical role within its Digital Services Group. This is a senior specialist/legal operations role suited to someone who enjoys combining technical document expertise with leadership, can manage deadlines and complex workflows and is interested in legal technology and continuous improvement projects. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day document production function while also producing complex legal documents to a high standard in a fast-paced law firm environment.

The Role

• Lead and coordinate document production workflows across legal teams
• Create, edit, format, and finalise complex legal documents using: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF tools
• Manage formatting consistency, templates, branding, and legal standards
• Handle document comparisons and mark-ups using tools like Litera Compare and Draftable
• Proofread and quality-check documents for accuracy and consistency
• Support new technology rollouts and process improvements
• Work closely with lawyers, LPAs, IT, and business services teams
• Provide guidance on document production best practices
• Maintain confidentiality, version control, and compliance standards

The Candidate

  • 5+ years’ experience in legal document production within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Experience leading or supervising a high-performing team.
  • Enjoys combining technical document expertise with leadership
  • Can manage deadlines and complex workflows
  • Advanced expertise in: Microsoft Word (complex formatting, styles, TOCs, tracked changes), Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts), PowerPoint (animations, embedded files)
  • Knowledge of legal documentation and formatting standards
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience with legal tech systems such as: iManage, Litera Compare / docXtools, BigHand, Bundledocs, Kofax PDF, StructureFlow
