The Role

• The Dublin Construction team includes three Partners, a Legal Director, a Managing Associate, an Associate and a Legal Executive, and is continuing to grow within a truly international firm.
• The practice covers the full spectrum of construction law—contentious and non-contentious—spanning building projects, civil and process plant engineering, energy and infrastructure.
• The team supports Real Estate, Banking and Corporate colleagues and advises a broad client base: developers, funders, approved housing bodies, Government bodies, manufacturers with process plants, contractors, design consultants and sub-contractors. There is notable strength in living sector projects, including student accommodation, care facilities and housing.
• Deep sector knowledge includes health and safety, building control, standard forms (JCT, NEC, MF1, FIDIC, RIAI, PWC), bespoke drafting and negotiation, development funding, dispute management and all forms of ADR, as well as court proceedings.
• Expect high levels of client contact, clear progression pathways and a strong track record of internal promotion in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The Candidate

• Advise government bodies, sponsors, funders, developers, employers, operators, contractors, sub-contractors and professional teams on procurement strategies, risk allocation, dispute avoidance and dispute resolution.
• Draft and negotiate construction documentation, including consultant appointments, warranties, building contracts and development agreements across living, office, retail, life sciences, process engineering, energy and industrial sectors.
• Support and manage disputes, including conciliation, adjudication and litigation, with strong organisational discipline over large document sets.
• Build and deepen client relationships as a trusted adviser, delivering timely, high-quality advice and managing expectations effectively.
• Collaborate across a cohesive team to deliver large-scale, high-value matters to the highest standard.
