Our client, is a leading professional services organisation committed to developing exceptional talent through innovative learning and development programmes. As part of its continued investment in people development, the firm is seeking to appoint a Learning & Development Programme Lead on an 18-month fixed-term contract. Working within a collaborative Learning & Development team, this role will take responsibility for managing and delivering a range of professional development and onboarding programmes, including the firm’s flagship development pathways. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing engaging learning initiatives, supporting leadership development, enhancing employee engagement and driving continuous improvement across the firm’s learning strategy.

The Role

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of structured development programmes for legal and business services professionals.
  • Manage end-to-end programme delivery, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with business objectives.
  • Coordinate leadership development programmes and support wider performance development initiatives.
  • Develop engaging learning campaigns and employee engagement initiatives that strengthen collaboration, knowledge sharing and firm culture.
  • Work closely with internal presenters and subject matter experts to develop and deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Manage relationships with external learning providers, ensuring quality delivery and value for investment.
  • Promote and support the firm’s mentoring initiatives and learning platforms to encourage continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders on strategic learning projects, identifying innovative approaches to meet evolving business needs.
  • Analyse programme performance through qualitative and quantitative reporting, making recommendations to improve future learning outcomes.
  • Identify emerging learning trends and implement new approaches to enhance employee development and engagement.
  • Partner with colleagues across the business to identify training needs and develop an effective annual learning calendar.
  • Maximise the use of the firm’s Learning Management System to support personalised and self-directed learning
  • Ensure all learning initiatives align with the firm’s overall learning and development strategy

The Candidate

This role will suit an experienced Learning & Development professional with strong programme management skills and a passion for creating engaging learning experiences. You will enjoy managing projects from concept through to evaluation while building strong relationships across the business.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate:

  • Experience managing learning and development programmes from design through to delivery and evaluation.
  • Previous experience within a professional services environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with confidence delivering learning sessions to diverse audiences.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting programme data and measuring success.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive, innovative mindset with a genuine passion for learning, development and continuous improvement.
