Our Client, a well established manufacturing operation in Drogheda , currently has a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer. If you are looking for a role where you can deliver high-quality engineering solutions, support plant reliability, and contribute to large-scale improvement projects, this is the role for you.

Total Package: up to €110k

The Role

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary maintenance team supporting site operations
  • Take responsibility for a defined plant process area
  • Plan and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programmes
  • Coordinate major shutdowns and plant overhauls
  • Manage contractors and external service providers for specific jobs and projects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to improve plant availability and reliability
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of safety, environmental and operational standards
  • Scope, support, and deliver large-scale plant improvement projects from construction to installation
  • Lead commissioning activities and ensure structured handover to operation

The Person

  • Qualified Mechanical Engineer (or similar discipline)
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven technical ability with strong commercial awareness
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and AutoCAD
  • Highly organised, with attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative
  • Track record of adding value and contributing positively to previous employers
