Our Client, an Irish professional services firm with a growing team in Dublin, currently has a vacancy for a Tax & Payroll Compliance professional. This role offers exposure to a broad range of tax compliance matters, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives within a large, well-structured organisation.

The team is responsible for managing all tax filing and payment obligations, identifying and mitigating tax risk, and preparing robust tax analyses and technical documentation to support filings, including during tax audits. The role involves close collaboration with HR and Finance on tax and payroll matters, responding to queries from tax authorities, and reviewing transfer pricing arrangements to ensure ongoing compliance.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working with large data sets, contributing to process improvement initiatives, and will typically come from an accounting background with solid tax knowledge.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Review travel, expense and other cost data on a monthly basis to identify items subject to BIK
  • Work with Finance and IT teams to design, test and implement system enhancements to improve and streamline BIK processes;
  • Support Irish and UK tax compliance obligations, including PAYE Settlement Agreements;
  • Act as tax support on Finance- or Tax-led projects, including systems and process improvements;
  • Liaise with HR and Finance in relation to US and UK secondments, ensuring PAYE and social security requirements are addressed and payroll transitions are managed correctly;
  • Review invoicing to confirm correct jurisdictional treatment and required details, and provide guidance to billing teams on UK invoicing requirements;
  • Prepare and reconcile the UK VAT return on a quarterly basis.

The Person

The ideal candidate:

  • Is a qualified tax professional and/or accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE;
  • Has strong IT capability, including advanced Excel skills and experience supporting system implementations;
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and reconciliation ability;
  • Has a solid understanding of tax compliance, particularly PAYE obligations;
  • Is well organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working independently;
  • Is self-motivated with a strong focus on continuous improvement and best practice;
  • Has experience working in a large corporate or professional services environment;
  • Brings a positive, engaged attitude and a strong work ethic.
