Our Client, a well established manufacturing operation in Drogheda , currently has a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer. Total Package: up to €110k
The Role
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary maintenance team supporting site operations
Take responsibility for a defined plant process area
Plan and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programmes
Coordinate major shutdowns and plant overhauls
Manage contractors and external service providers for specific jobs and projects
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to improve plant availability and reliability
Contribute to continuous improvement of safety, environmental and operational standards
Scope, support, and deliver large-scale plant improvement projects from construction to installation
Lead commissioning activities and ensure structured handover to operation
The Person
Qualified Mechanical Engineer (or similar discipline)
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proven technical ability with strong commercial awareness
Strong IT skills, including MS Office and AutoCAD
Highly organised, with attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative
Track record of adding value and contributing positively to previous employers
