Our Client, a leading international law firm with a growing office in Dublin, currently has a vacancy for a Finance Manager to join their Finance team. Total Package: up to €110k

The Finance team provides high quality financial support across the business and plays a key role in supporting the firm’s strategic and commercial objectives. This position is a senior role within the Dublin Finance team and will involve working closely with partners and lawyers to drive financial performance, improve commercial outcomes and ensure strong financial governance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial processes, supporting budgeting and forecasting, maintaining strong financial controls and leading a small finance team while ensuring the delivery of efficient and responsive financial services to the wider business.

The Role

Partner with Partners and legal teams in Dublin to support stronger financial performance across billing, pricing and client profitability

  • Provide commercial financial insight to assist practice groups in managing financial performance and improving key metrics
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts and internal performance reporting
  • Promote compliance with financial protocols and monitor key performance indicators such as billing levels, cash collection targets, aged WIP, debt management and lock-up
  • Prepare and assess financial business cases relating to lateral partner recruitment and other strategic initiatives
  • Produce timely financial reports and management information for senior leadership while supporting statutory reporting obligations
  • Oversee local financial control activities including balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining a strong internal control environment
  • Liaise with external auditors, advisors and Group Financial Control to ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Manage the preparation and submission of financial statements and regulatory filings where required
  • Work with the Group Tax team and external advisors to ensure compliance with tax obligations including partnership tax filings and VAT returns
  • Monitor and assist in resolving dormant balances while identifying opportunities to improve financial procedures and operational efficiency
  • Manage treasury activities locally including oversight of cash flow and maintaining relationships with banking partners
  • Work closely with internal support teams including HR, Business Development, Strategy, Pricing and Knowledge to deliver joined-up solutions across the business
  • Lead, mentor and develop the local finance team while ensuring a high standard of service delivery across the department

Experience

  • Qualified Accountant, who strong finance experience within a professional services environment, ideally within an international law firm
  • Has experience using financial systems such as SAP, Concur or Power BI (desirable)
  • Has experience managing a small finance team
  • Demonstrates strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Is comfortable managing operational finance processes and ensuring adherence to internal procedures
  • Shows strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
