Link Personnel are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant for a leading international law firm. The successful candidate will join a high-performing Finance team that provides world‑class support across the business. This position works closely with the Finance Manager, Senior Legal Cashier and global accounts team, with a focus on Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Cashiering and Monthly Reporting.
Salary: to €45k
Benefits: Pension, Healthcare, Life Assurance, Bonus, Hybrid Working – 2 days wfh, 25 days AL + 2 Company Days
Overall Package: to €55k
Accounts Payable
• Manage day-to-day AP tasks, including inputting and posting multi‑currency supplier invoices.
• Administer weekly payment runs for supplier invoices, employee expenses and client disbursements.
• Monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox daily.
• Act as the main point of contact for supplier queries and relationship management.
• Reconcile supplier statements and office credit card transactions.
• Review supplier invoices, disbursements and employee expenses on the Onventis workflow system during team absences.
Credit Control
• Attend monthly face‑to‑face meetings with Partners to review debtor reports and agree required actions.
• Follow up and resolve client queries promptly.
• Chase outstanding debts by phone, email and letter.
• Liaise with the Cashiers team to ensure accurate allocation of payments.
• Provide departmental heads with lock‑up statistics.
• Maintain accurate records on ARCS and ensure full use of the diary system.
• Supply information to the Finance Manager and Head of Country for regular meetings.
Cashiering / Additional Finance Duties
• Support the Senior Legal Cashier with bank postings and reconciliations.
• Assist with billing and e‑billing requirements.
• Support monthly inter‑office reconciliations.
• Prepare accounting journals for posting.
• Monitor and reconcile prepayments and accruals.
• Collect and reconcile data for bi‑monthly VAT returns.
• Assist with other finance‑related tasks as required.
• Experience with Aderant and/or within a law firm is an advantage.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and able to handle a busy workload.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage daily responsibilities.
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Excellent attention to detail.
